Jill earned her BS in Chemical Engineering at the University of Arkansas, where she graduated summa cum laude and was a member of the Tau Beta Pi Engineering Honor Society. She then earned her PhD at Virginia Tech in Biomedical Engineering. In her post-doctoral work at Virginia Tech, she investigated optimizing personalized tissue engineered tumor models for cancer therapy testing with the goal of translating that research to clinical applications. She has worked at several medical device companies as a research and product development engineer.

Kate
Amelia is a third-year law student who serves as a Senior Notes Editor on the Law Review. Her law review article was on emerging issues in intellectual property, biotechnology, and technology law, specifically the challenges of protecting innovation in rapidly evolving industries, including artificial intelligence, life sciences, and digital technologies.
She is a recipient of the Dean’s Scholarship for Academic Excellence and has been inducted into the Order of the Coif. She is also a member of the Intellectual Property Law Association and participates in the NYU Entrepreneurship & Venture Capital Association, where she works with fellow students interested in innovation, startups, and commercialization.
Kate holds a Bachelor of Arts in Economics and International Studies from Rhodes College in Memphis, Tennessee. She also holds a Master of Arts degree from American University, where she developed expertise in data-driven strategies for community development.
Kate was a National Merit Scholar who received multiple state and national scholarhips to attend college. She received a graduate fellowshilp for her graduate work. She was in Omicron Delta Epsilon and Delta Delta Delta.
